Quoting & ordering systems

Your price list
is not a PDF.

b2bcode builds the quoting, ordering and dealer portals that distributors and manufacturers actually run on. Tier breaks, contract terms and lead times that answer for themselves — so a rep stops rebuilding the same spreadsheet every morning.

Modules

Six modules. Take the ones you need.

Each one ships on its own and talks to the rest. Nothing here assumes you are replacing your ERP — most clients keep theirs and stop typing into it twice.

QUO

Quoting

Tiered price books, customer-specific contracts, currency and freight. A quote becomes an order without anyone retyping a line.

ORD

Order management

Partial shipments, backorders, split deliveries, credit holds. The states your operation already has, written down for once.

POR

Customer portal

Every account sees its own price, its own terms, its own order history. No account can see another. Reorder in two clicks.

APR

Approvals

Margin floors, discount ladders, and who signs off on what. A rep can discount to the line; below it, a manager gets asked.

INT

Integrations

ERP, EDI 850 / 855 / 810, freight rating, tax. Your existing systems stay where they are and keep their data.

REP

Reporting

Win rate by rep, margin leakage by product line, aged backorders. The three questions you ask every Monday, already answered.

Process

From price list to cutover in eight weeks.

The order matters here — each week depends on the one before it.

Week 1

Price teardown

Bring the price list, the spreadsheets, and the exceptions. We write down the rules your team follows without ever having written them down. This is where most of the surprises are.

Weeks 2–5

Build

You get a working quote screen in week two — real prices, your SKUs, clickable. Not a mockup. Every week after that adds a module and gets reviewed by the people who will use it.

Week 6

Pilot with two reps

Real quotes go out of the new system while the old one keeps running. Two reps, one product line. We fix what they hit, in the same week they hit it.

Weeks 7–8

Cutover

History migrated, integrations switched over, everyone trained. The spreadsheet is archived, not deleted — you will want to check it twice, and then never again.

Results

A fastener distributor, 41,000 SKUs.

Nine reps, four price tiers, and a quoting process that lived in one spreadsheet nobody was allowed to touch on a Friday.

Fit

We are a poor fit for about half the people who call us.

Worth saying early. If any of these describe the work, we will tell you in the first call and point you somewhere better.

  • Marketing websites and CMS builds.
  • Consumer marketplaces and storefronts.
  • Any business where every customer sees the same price.
  • Projects that need the whole system live before anyone has used a screen.

If your pricing fits on one page, you do not need us.

Bring your price list.

Forty-five minutes. We walk your real pricing through a working quote screen and show you the exceptions you forgot you had. No deck.
